Boss Security Screens enters the growing Phoenix market for residential security solutions.

Boss Security Screens, an authorized dealer of TAPCO Screens and Armorcoat security film, is opening an office in Phoenix, Arizona this month to meet the growing demand in the southwest region of the United States for home security solutions.
Boss sells TAPCO security screens - which are used by homeowners to prevent burglaries. The screens are made of high tensile strength stainless steel mesh that can be mounted to doors and windows.
“We are excited to enter the Phoenix market,” says James Kerr, founder and CEO of Boss Security Screens. “We anticipate the same solid growth we are seeing in Las Vegas.”

For property crime, on a scale from 1 (low) to 100, Phoenix is 52. The US Average is 38. Property crime includes burglary, larceny-theft, motor vehicle theft, and arson.
“If you look at the number of burglaries per 100,000 people, there are only 30 or so other cities in the country that have more burglaries than Phoenix,” explains Kerr. “Phoenicians deserve to feel safe. Hopefully, our screens will help.”
TAPCO has been manufacturing screens for over 50 years. The technology for security screens was originally developed for homes in in the hurricane corridor. The screens are rates for category 4 hurricanes. In severe weather conditions, flying debris is a leading cause of injury and even death.
“You could take a 2x4 piece of wood, accelerate it to 150 mph and aim it like a dart at a security screen and it will just bounce off. That’s how strong these screens are,” says Kerr. “The bad guys take one look at them and move onto the next home. They are smart enough to know its not worth the effort.”
