Sockgaim & Run DIPG Join Forces To Fight Childhood Cancer

Jul 28, 2022

United States - July 28, 2022 —

Sockgaim have partnered with RUN DIPG, a charity dedicated to improving outcomes for patients and their families impacted by the deadliest form of childhood cancer – the brainstem cancer, diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG) also known as diffuse midline glioma (DMG).

The weekend 23rd - 24th July is the inaugural RUN DIPG Round 13 in partnership with Hunter Rugby. Every senior player in Premier, Divisional and Women's competitions will be wearing custom RUN DIPG socks supplied by Sockgaim. This is the biggest awareness campaign RUN DIPG have executed since their foundation in March 2019. Thank you to all the clubs and players for showing their support for research into DIPG/DMG.

With everything we do at Sockgaim we try to do some good. We work with charities providing custom designs for their fundraisers.

“Being able to offer our company’s resources to help charities with their fundraisers & merchandising stores is an absolute privilege. Knowing our socks are helping with research & development as well as helping the families affected by deadly diseases makes me incredibly proud." Josh Hunter, Director, Sockgaim.

"The opportunity to have 1,300 pairs of socks over 13 clubs, across all grades of senior rugby on 1 day is a huge awareness driver for research into DIPG/DMG. Partnering with Hunter Rugby and Sockgaim gives a young charity like RUN DIPG the platform to tell our story’ - Troy Bailey, General Manager, RUN DIPG.

"Our players continually volunteer for RUN DIPG and holding a competition-wide round only adds to our charity partnership" - Warren Watson, President, University of Newcastle Rugby Union Club.
