JV Provides Premium Dissolved Air Flotation Systems to Industrial Wastewater Applications, Underscores SigmaDAF's and Clearwater's Commitment to the USA
Milwaukee, WI, USA - October 10, 2023 /MarketersMEDIA/ —

Sigmadaf Clarifiers and Clearwater Industries, Inc. have signed a joint venture (JV) agreement to design, manufacture, supply, sell, and support dissolved air flotation (DAF) systems for wastewater treatment in the United States of America. This partnership introduces Sigmadaf Clarifiers DAF technology to the USA and bolsters its global recognition while expanding Clearwater's wastewater clarification product line and solutions. As more companies and institutions adopt environmentally friendly practices, this JV will support those who wish to reuse and manage their water resources more sustainably.
SigmaDAF USA, incorporated in the USA and headquartered in Milwaukee, WI, will manufacture advanced technology DAF systems at Clearwater Industries facility to support domestic wastewater treatment. This JV will leverage Sigmadaf's premier DAF system technology and application-specific expertise with Clearwater's extensive experience in manufacturing and supplying robust wastewater treatment equipment.
"The high quality of Sigma DAF's equipment, efficient and well-vetted engineering principals, and high business ethics made this a perfect partnership for Clearwater Industries, Inc.," said John Gralton, President of Clearwater Industries.
With a growing global population and rise in water use, wastewater treatment is more critical than ever. The natural water purification process is insufficient in treating the vast quantities of pollutants entering our natural waters daily. Manufactured water treatment systems are necessary to remove harmful pollutants and to protect people, fish, and wildlife.
For companies and municipalities in the USA, this JV agreement will allow them to integrate premier DAF technology with modular, robust, and efficient DAF systems. SigmaDAF USA's modular DAF systems can treat 10-4400 GPM in pre-treatment, primary treatment, and secondary treatment applications. By removing suspended solids, oils, greases, and other contaminants, DAF systems serve many applications and industries, including food production, meat processing, dairy, oil and gas, energy, desalination, biological sludge separation, and more.
With the constitution of this new company, which has been possible thanks to the mediation of The Water Council, we plan to increase the presence of our DAF units in the United States and contribute to optimal and sustainable use of the country's water resources.
SigmaDAF USA is active and ready to support wastewater applications. DAF systems are available for purchase in the USA from Clearwater Industries.

Why Mars looks blue in NASA’s unedited curiosity panorama?Stand beside Curiosity at dawn, and you wouldn't see a red planet or a blue one. You'd see murky light-tan cliffs and almost no colour in the shadows. That makes NASA's new blue Mars panorama a bit of a trick, though not the kind you...
The global race to expand artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities could increasingly be determined by which companies can secure enough electricity, financing and data-centre infrastructure to operate advanced chips, rather than simply by their ability to acquire the latest technology, according to a Morgan Stanley research report.

Beijing Agreement advances global vocational education cooperation
Artificial intelligence (AI) could give small businesses a competitive advantage over large companies by helping them improve productivity, overcome resource constraints and adopt new technologies faster, former UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said.
China’s artificial intelligence companies have spent years persuading consumers to pay for their technology. Now, Moonshot AI, the start-up behind Kimi, is taking a different approach: offering AI computing benefits through a credit card. The company has teamed up with the Agricultural Bank of China (ABC) and American Express for what it calls “the world’s first AI native credit card”. After getting one for myself, the experience offered an intriguing way to bring AI services into everyday...
