McMahill Frontrunner in Clark County Sheriff’s Race

Jun 25, 2022

United States - June 25, 2022

The Clark County, Nevada Primary Election is being held on June 14, 2022, and candidate Kevin McMahill is the clear frontrunner for the position of Sheriff, as evidenced by early polling numbers. The post is being vacated, with current Sheriff Joe Lombardo running as a Republican candidate for Nevada Governor. Friday evening, a “Meet and Greet” was held at the prestigious Stirling Club in Las Vegas, and McMahill spoke about his qualifications for the position of Sheriff, detailing his thirty years of experience in law enforcement. He took time to answer concerned citizens’ questions, and he outlined his plan for making Clark County a safer community under his watch.

Prominent Las Vegas businessman, Antonio Accornero, was at the event to offer his continuing support of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and congratulate McMahill on his promise of success in the first step of the critical Sheriff’s race. “Kevin McMahill provided strong leadership as Undersheriff to Joe Lombardo,” said Accornero. “His experience is unparalleled, and I believe he is the best candidate for the position of Clark County Sheriff.” Also in attendance at Friday’s gathering was Ryan Fleming, who is running for the position of Assembly Speaker, District 9. Over the course of the evening, Mr. Accornero had the opportunity to speak with both McMahill and Fleming about their vision for Clark County’s future.

Antonio Accornero’s generous contributions to the LVMPD over the years have helped to fund many initiatives, such as community engagement and public safety programs. A longtime supporter of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, Accornero pledges to continue to advocate for the Department with upcoming fundraising events.
