Liner Entertainment Group Signs Music Producer Anthony Johnson Aka "Mr. Iconix"

Hitsville, USA native Anthony Johnson has kept true to Detroit's historic musical legacy. The critically acclaimed, billboard charting producer, song writer, and musical powerhouse have spent the past 20 years creating iconic works and has his eye on guiding the next generation of music hit makers. 

Mr. Anthony Maurice Johnson started his musical journey as a young boy hailing from a very musically inclined background. Johnson enjoyed musical arts with his family and began to play the piano by ear. With an affinity to create, he began his journey to become one of the youngest music producers at the time. By the age of 19, Anthony alongside his brothers went on to become the founders of their own music production company. "Heavy Boys Productions" in Detroit, Michigan. 

Once the music bug hit, Anthony took the ball and ran. He would then go on to work with musical greats like Keith Sweat, Ne-yo, KC & Jojo, T-Pain, and The Winans Family to name a few. At the age of 17, the late great Henry "Hank" Crosby of Motown (Universal) began working with Anthony. Crosby, known for writing timeless hits like Stevie Wonders's "My Cherie Amour" and working with the likes of Smokey Robinson and The Supremes really took a liking to the way Johnson created unique new sounds and would go on to be an innovative force in musical production. 

Anthony is no stranger to crossing genres. Producing and writing songs from pop, rap, gospel, afro-beats, and country. His background in such music diversity also afforded Johnson the opportunity to work with MSNBC, American Idol, Making The Band, and ESPN as well as create music for Broadway and theatrical productions. 

Being able to mentor and consult budding young artists on how to navigate their careers is something this veteran with over 20 years experience enjoys. From vocal arrangement coaching to artist development, Anthony has his ear for what's new and what's next. 

Recently Mr. Johnson has set out to make an even more positive impact on the music community. He is currently working with the State of Michigan to create an official anthem for his hometown of Detroit, Michigan. The Recording Academy (Grammy) utilizes its database of music creators from all genres to come together on various panels to discuss policy and opportunities for scoring and song achievements throughout different varieties of media. The Recording Academy's Song Writers and Composers Wing has just made Anthony part of their team of legendary and esteemed artists & writers. 

From the very beginning Anthony Maurice Johnson sought out to make music a diverse and exciting experience and for years has done that and more. Looking into the future of music and bringing his expertise along the way lends to an even brighter future for the music industry.
