With 15+ years of mortgage experience, CEO of Fresh Home Loan gives insight to the changes in the real estate market caused by the pandemic in his new book

July 1, 2021 —
President and CEO of California-based Fresh Home Loan Inc, Garrick Werdmuller has just released a new book, Home Buying and a Global Pandemic. The book which was released earlier this month is a go-to guide that gives you a rundown on what you need to know in order to prepare yourself for the ever-changing real estate market. Due to the pandemic, home buying has become more complex and without in-depth knowledge, buyers are bound to make avoidable mistakes. This guide to mortgages and property teaches the new home buyer, home seller, and investor how to navigate the world of real estate in the pandemic. In this book, Garrick reveals how COVID-19 has completely changed the face of real estate.
Before the release of his book, Garrick opened a brokerage, Fresh Home Loan Inc in April. Fresh Home Loan consists of “Independent Mortgage Brokers that Work for the People”™. Their goal is to give clients the best information, rates, and products available while maintaining great relationships with their wholesale partners and supporting originators so they can be successful in competitive areas like the Bay Area. With 20 years of experience in the business, he also opened a reverse mortgage division, Fresh Reverse, and is actively mortgage loan officers. According to him, ‘‘I used to be a mortgage bank branch operator but went independent to give my clients and industry professionals more options and access to better rates and products.’’
Garrick Werdmuller entered the mortgage business in 2002 after he got laid off as a banquet sous chef for a national hotel chain. He started in the business cold calling potential prospects off data lists, and the people he spoke with really liked him, trusted him, and needed his help. Right away, Garrick discovered how important a mortgage expert can be in people’s lives. Since then, Garrick has been a broker, branch manager for one of the largest mortgage banks in the country, and an in-house lender to three real estate offices.
His newly released book which is available on Amazon and can be accessed for free is packed with quality information on the ins and outs of the real estate market. According to Shaun D, home buyer during the pandemic, the book is “A no-nonsense examination of the current state of the mortgage industry and the pandemic’s effects upon it. Simple, right to the point and in language everyone can understand. An important read for anyone considering a home loan”. Norman K., property investor, also said, ‘‘Wow, this book is very refreshing, relatable, authentic, and informational. In a world of big banks that make you feel like you are just a number, I now have a better understanding of how to navigate in this climate and where to find the resources I'm looking for. I highly recommend you give this book a thorough read.’’
