Foundation Software Announces New Integration Between FOUNDATION® and Estimating Edge's Suite of Products

Nov 8, 2022

STRONGSVILLE, Ohio - November 8, 2022 - (Newswire.com)

Foundation Software announced today that FOUNDATION® — America's #1 construction accounting software — now fully integrates with Estimating Edge's platform of estimating and takeoff products. Foundation Software acquired Estimating Edge earlier in the year with the goal to provide contractors an even more complete solution for their field and office needs.

Clients can sync their FOUNDATION accounting with The EDGE® Estimator or TakeoffHQ and as they build their estimate, every line item is assigned a cost code and a cost class which aligns to the codes and classes from FOUNDATION. Then, when the estimate is complete and the job is awarded, the project information and budget are synced to FOUNDATION, eliminating the need for manual entry.

Adam Oaks, President of Estimating Edge, thinks specialty trade contractors will benefit from this new integration.

"Being part of the Foundation Software product family is all about offering our clients opportunities to streamline their processes," Oaks said. "This integration eliminates duplicate entries and reduces data entry errors. We're helping contractors free up their time with tedious data entry so they can focus on other, more important tasks."

For Mike Ode, CEO of Foundation Software, the integration is a milestone within a bigger initiative.

"It's an exciting time because we set this goal and completed it like we promised." Ode stated. "But we knew when we brought on Estimating Edge that we didn't want to just own the products and be done —we wanted to continue to develop and expand their products. This is the next step forward, and I can't wait to see where we go from here."

Ode emphasized the commitment to expanding the products' capabilities. "Enhancing our user experience and offering contractors the best all-in-one office platform will always be our ultimate objectives."

The integration is only a piece of Foundation Software's construction software and services, which also includes Payroll4Construction — the payroll service designed specifically for construction — the newly launched HQSuite — a collection of construction project management apps — and estimating provider for the electrical, mechanical and plumbing trades — McCormick Systems.

China shoots ahead on AI video models

While few dispute that China is narrowing the gap with the United States in developing artificial intelligence (AI) models, there is one area where Chinese firms are already the undisputed leaders: video.
