Texas Tech Physicians is the medical practice of the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine. It operates primary- and specialty-care clinics across West Texas in the Amarillo, Lubbock, and Permian Basin communities. The health care facilities are run by the very same doctors who teach tomorrow's leading physicians which means each care provider is always at the forefront of the latest and best in medical technology and patient care.

In her current capacity, Dr. McKee also serves as an Associate Professor within the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery & Rehabilitation at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine.

Back in 2001, she earned her medical degree from the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine. She then went on to complete her residency at Maricopa Medical Center, followed by her fellowship at the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville.

As a testament to her success, the doctor is board-certified in surgery and surgery of the hand by the American Board of Surgery, an independent, non-profit organization located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, founded for the purpose of certifying surgeons who have met a defined standard of education, training, and knowledge. Hand surgery is surgery of the hand, the wrist, and the peripheral nerves of the upper limb. It also encompasses reconstructive surgery that improves upper limb function. Many disorders and injuries of the hand are treated without surgery, using splints, taping, injections, and hand physiotherapy. Hand surgeons care for these problems with and without surgery. They are specially trained to operate when necessary. Many hand surgeons are also experts in diagnosing and caring for shoulder and elbow problems.
