Though cryptocurrency has continued to grow in popularity for the last decade, there have been few improvements in the technology used to store crypto tokens offline. The new D’cent hardware wallet launching on The Crypto Merchant store is the first device of its kind to include a fingerprint scanner for secure and convenient access.

With secure biometrics and access to dozens of the most popular crypto tokens, the recently added D’cent wallet is one of the few devices that are easily compatible with corporate and business trading styles. The device also allows users to access their accounts with a keyword, private keys, or a recovery phrase.
While many crypto wallets are designed for use with a desktop PC or as a standalone device, the new D’cent wallet has a smartphone-focused interface. To set up the wallet, users will be asked to pair the wallet with a tablet or smartphone, either through Bluetooth or the included USB cable.
The D’cent wallet works with Android and iOS using the D’cent mobile wallet app. This pairing provides an extra layer of security and convenience, allowing users to check their account balances using nothing but the hardware wallet. At the same time, transactions cannot be completed without access to both the wallet and the paired Android or iOS device.
The wallet includes a large, easy-to-read 1.1-inch screen that makes it possible to check account balances on the go while still being small enough to carry in a pocket. Users can also get more information about their accounts, including a complete list of transaction details, using the D’cent mobile wallet app.
While the D’cent team is constantly adding more items to the list of supported crypto tokens, the device currently allows Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), SRP, RSK Smart Bitcoin (RBTC), and ERC-20 tokens, as well as many others.
A spokesperson for The Crypto Merchant said, “With the touch of one button on the D’cent app, you can share your PR code or cryptocurrency address with friends. Or operate directly from the app by using the DAPP browser function and easily manage all your NFTs.”
