Australian Business Sale Prices At Historic All-Time High

Jul 17, 2022

Sydney,Australia - July 17, 2022 /PressCable/

The average sale price of Australian Businesses surged last month to its historical all-time high. One of Australia’s largest national business brokers, Morgan Business Sales have reported the average sale price of businesses sold nationally between 1st July 2021 and 30th June 2022 peaked at AUD$2,058,322, up from AUD$1,635,776 in the same period last year.

“The combination of a large number of retiring baby boomers combined with historically low interest rates and surging asset prices have made a perfect storm” said Morgan Business Sales Director Dru Morgan. “Its a great time to sell, we’re achieving higher prices now than at any time in history”.

Even with recent interest rate rises Mr Morgan expects the strong demand to continue well into 2023 and beyond. “International borders, which have been shut down over the past two years are now open again”, he said. “This will trigger increased international demand for Australian Businesses even moreso, we expect the next two years to be a golden period for people looking to sell their business”.
